Our charge this past weekend, Mr. Rocky Canelake:

We've been dog-sitting for the last week. Here's a few pictures in lieu of a real post. Due to the lack of internet, I don't have anything else to really comment on.

Here's Jake. She wakes people up at 5 AM with remarkable accuracy.


Here's a poster for a bullying seminar found in Papago Brewing Co.'s restroom. The poster is in the restroom by the way, not the seminar.

And it was fun.

We drove into L.A. on Tuesday, Miss Bee's sister in tow.

We went to the beach pretty much right away.

My favorite part was New Orleans.

We rode Pirates of the Caribbean a couple times. We also ate at the Blue Bayou, which was right down this street, and is inside the Pirates ride. The food was, perhaps not surprisingly, one of the highlights of my day.

Lowlight: Splash Mountain about an hour before sundown. We waited 90 minutes (sign said 55 min. wait) to get soaked as the temperature dropped about 10 degrees. We had three sweatshirts until the one in the picture got soaked and was rendered useless. I didn't look this bad but my jeans were very wet.

The next day we biked to Venice Beach, which was a little much but still enjoyable. As you can see, a lovely day. Miss Bee had her bike but Nat and I were on cruisers for three hours, leading to a certain amount of soreness.

There were also sunburns all around, and some pretty horrific hunger upon return. But it was fun.

Ok, I like it fine. I will disable the Auto-play feature in the future. If you want to see them larger, click on the lower left where it says the album title in blue, or in the lower right click on the Picasa logo, and click on the blue album link that shows up. I think I'll use this more; it's easier to get a larger number of photos up quickly.

Lots of cute little guys in the puppy and kitten room today.

This fat brindle pit bull got a lot of pictures taken of him.

To get a picture of this wiggle worm I had to hold it in one hand and shoot with the other.

Australian cattle dog/boxer mix was very playful but quite sad.

Her little ears were cut off or something, but she was really playful.

Later I took out a little-ish German shepherd, but her left hind leg was lame so I just socialized her a bit.
And here I've slipped in the bad photo of me that I promised two weeks ago:

Then Miss B. took out a white long-haired dachshund mix that was cute but a little timid.

Finally, I took out a Rottweiler that was humongous but remarkably gentle. Horrible photography commences:


I've decided that larger dogs, especially German shepherds and other non-terriers are the most difficult to take a good picture of, so sorry for that if those are your favorites.
